3. Abortion: for or against it?
I am personally against abortion. However, I recognise that others don’t necessarily share that view, so I would not ban it outright. I would, however, add a few clauses to abortion laws if they don’t exist already:

A}If either parent wants the baby WHETHER THEY ARE THE FATHER OR THE MOTHER, then an abortion should not be able to be obtained. I don’t care if it is a woman’s body. If daddy wants bub and can pay for

healthcare (and he hasn’t been deemed to be an unfit parent eg rapists child abusers etc), she should have to carry the baby to term and care for herself and the foetus to the best of her ability. NO WANTED CHILD SHOULD BE ABORTED!!!!! {{{Ducking my head to avoid the blows that are about to rain down upon me}}}.

B}To avoid wanted babies being aborted, no abortion should be given without consent from both parents UNLESS it can be shown that either the child is the product of rape, the father is an unfit parent or a couple of other reasons I had in my head a moment ago but can’t think of right now. This prevents mum from getting an abortion without ever having told dad she was pregnant.

C}A girl / woman / couple seeking an abortion should by law be counselled about other options. There are many childless couples out there just dying to give a child a loving home, while perfectly healthy babies are

being aborted.

No

5. Do you believe in the death penalty?
Yes, on the second or subsequent offence (a person would have to be extremely unlucky to be falsely convicted twice) or in the case of particularly heinous crimes where there is absolutely no doubt of guilt Eg Hannibal Lecter, Charles Manson, Anita Cobby’s killers etc. I would also severely curtail the appeals process. None of this tying up the court system until you die a natural death. You’d get 1 – maybe 2 – appeals and that’s it!

6. Do you wish marijuana would be legalised already?
Definitely not (except for the terminally ill).

7. Are you for or against premarital sex?
I think it’s up to the individual to decide.

8. Do you believe in God?
Plural. And Goddesses too.

9. Do you think same sex marriage should be legalised?
Yes

10. Do you think it’s wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
Illegally, yes. Legally, no.

11. A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
That would depend entirely on the circumstances. Does she have support at home, for example? Will mum and dad help care for the baby so she can finish her education? Does she have the emotional support at home to help her cope? If her parents are unable or unwilling to help, what about the father’s parents? I do not believe in forcibly removing a baby if the support structure is there.

12. Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
It’s already 18 here…

13. Should the war in Iraq be called off?
No. I don’t believe we should have gone into Iraq to begin with. However, now that we are there, it would be totally irresponsible to leave without ensuring a relatively stable region.

14. Assisted Suicide is illegal: do you agree?
I believe assisted suicide should be legal for the terminally ill or those facing the prospect of no quality of life (eg if you find out you have something like huntingtons or alzheimers, you should be allowed to make the decision while you are still lucid. These are technically not terminal but I would sure rather be dead!). I swear, if we forced our pets to live with the kind of health problems many of our loved ones are, we’d be in gaol!

15. Do you believe in spanking your children?

As a last resort.

16. Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
Yes. And an Aussie one too when it comes to that. I can always get a new flag and my family could sure use the money.

17. Who do you think would make a better president?
I have no idea. I’m not overly fond of either candidate. Thankfully, it’s not up to me…

19. Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
They probably will, but I don’t give a rats ass. I am who I am and if you don’t like it, the doors over there.
