Synopsis:I will howl for you, human boy, she thought. I will hunt you in my girl skin, but I’ll celebrate as a wolf…
Vivian relishes the change: the sweet, fierce ache that carries her from girl to wolf. At sixteen, she is beautiful and strong, and all the young wolves howl for her. It is time for her to find a mate.
But Vivian just feels lonely and lost, longing to be ‘normal’. That’s when she meets Aiden – a human – and falls in love. But can Aiden ever accept Vivian as she truly is? And will Vivian be fully satisfied with Aiden’s comfortable kisses – like chocolate – when she has such a passionate need for more? For kisses with real danger in them – like blood…

Comments:Blood and Chocolate is a great novel about knowing yourself and embracing your differences (in this case being a werewolf) rather than trying to be something you’re not (human). It also highlights the folly of fearing what we don’t understand and the heartbreak that can result. It is a great book – not preachy at all – and is great for tweens and teens who enjoy fantasy or werewolf stories.
