Yasmine, age 4: I liked when the clothes flapped on the wombats nose.
Annelise, age 7: This was a really good book. There were lots of parts that I liked. The first part I liked was when the wombat rolled in the dust at the barbecue. The next bit I liked was when the wombat thought the mat was alive and I like when it says “For Pete’s Sake, Give her some Carrots!” and I like when the wombat digs a hole under the house and when she eats the carrots from the groceries and that she thinks humans are dumb.
Mum: This a great book for early readers. Written like a real diary, it is very concise and easy to read. The amusing things the wombat thinks and does keep the kids entertained and the beautiful illustrations give them something fun to look at. This is a wonderful Australian book that kids will want you to read again and again.
