Apparently, we aren’t too far off space tourism. That means you would be able to (if you had enough money) buy yourself a trip into space. Awesome, right? Wrong. If somebody were to offer me a choice between one free trip into space or free international travel for life, I would choose the international travel. I mentioned in a previous post that I am afraid of heights. Flying in an airplane is frightening enough. There is just no way you would get me into a spaceship without first drugging me into insensibility.
Besides, a single holiday (however adventurous) compared to a lifetimes worth of fascinating experiences? I’ll take the international travel, thanks. There are so many places I want to see before I die. I’d love to travel all over Japan, to see the Great Wall of China, the Pyramids, Pompeii. I’d love to travel Greece, Ireland and Spain. I’d love to go on an African Safari and see the sunrise in Antarctica. There is so much beauty to see on this very Earth of ours. Who needs a trip to space?
