Butterfly and Annie have been watching an anime called Food Wars recently. Since I have been reading and writing in the same room as the television, I have caught several glimpses of the anime. The food on this show looks divine. I mean, anime food always looks particularly delicious, but anime devoted to food, such as Yumeiro Patissiere or Food Wars take it to a whole other level. I would dearly love to try some of the dishes I’ve seen in these two shows. I wonder if there is an English language cookbook featuring the recipes from the show available?
It’s taken a while, but I finally managed to save up enough flybuys points to get myself an iPod Touch. It’s only 32gb, but that’s plenty enough for my needs. And it’s free, that’s always a plus. I can’t wait to be able to listen to music away from home. I don’t have any music on my phone, because I prefer to keep my devices separate. I’m happy to have a phone for making calls, as well as some games and other apps; a kindle for reading; an iPod for music; now I just need to acquire a camera for photos. I don’t need, nor do I want, an all-in-one device. I wonder if I can get a camera from flybuys? I’ll have to check it out.
I watched this new show on Netflix yesterday. Well, it’s new to me, anyway. I have no idea when it was actually released. It’s called Conspiracy. I’ve only watched the first episode so far, about whether Hitler & Eva Braun lived beyond the war. It was quite interesting. Whether you believe the theory or not, the show actually presents their evidence in a clear and logical manner, making it enjoyable to watch.
We received a clock in the mail this week. You know those marketing gimmicks where companies (usually real estate agents) bombard letter boxes with magnets and the like? Well, this doctors group decided to go one better and give everyone a free clock. Bonus. We were just considering purchasing a clock, too, so we sure weren’t going to say no to a freebie. It has advertising all over it, of course, but it tells the time, so who cares?
I have an appointment at the gym tomorrow. It’s one of those initial appointments where they weigh you, design a program, show you how to use the equipment and so on. I hope to attend five days a week for a minimum of an hour each time. I am hoping to be able to lose quite a bit of weight. I’m tired of being a fat slob. I’ll have to stick to exercises that don’t require me to be on the floor, because of my knees. There should be plenty of those in the gym, though, right?
Since I also intend to improve my eating habits, I am going to cut back on my chocolate consumption. I’m not eliminating it altogether, of course, but I will eat a lot less. The money I normally spend on chocolate will be going to two places. First, I will be supporting Jenna Moreci on Patreon. Then, if there’s enough, I’ll consider joining skillshare.
Love is in the air. Love of Christmas, that is. Decorations have begun to make their way into stores, carols have begun to be played, and the dreaded Christmas shopping season has begun. Despite, not being Christian, I just love this time of year. The sights, the sounds, the smells, even just the general atmosphere.
This year we are planning to have Christmas catered. I’ll be ordering a chook, some subway, salads, maybe some sushi. I had hoped to visit River Canyons again, but Earth’s health simply won’t allow it. I really don’t want to cook this year, so catering it is. I’m looking forward to my Christmas shopping. I love giving gifts even more than receiving them.
That’s it for today. Comments, questions and opinions are always welcome in the space below.
