Whether it’s a broiled egg on toast or a full English, everybody loves a home-cooked breakfast. Unfortunately, we are often in a bit of hurry and do not have enough time to sit down to a delicious meal. This is where breakfast cereal comes into its own. It’s quick, it’s easy and there is enough of a variety to please almost any taste-buds. Variety, being what it is, also means choice and everybody’s choice of favourite cereal is different.
Here are my own top ten breakfast cereals, listed from ten to one:
Number 10
Uncle Toby’s Vita Brits

When eaten plain, this quite a healthy cereal. I like to eat three bricks with lots of cold milk and sugar.
Number 9
Kellogg’s Crunchy Nut Cornflakes

Cornflakes, but with nuts. And honey. What’s not to love? No extra sugar is needed with this delicious cereal. Just add cold milk, and munch away.
Number 8
Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain

On the rare occasions I eat this for breakfast, I simply pour it into a bowl with some cold milk. However, if that doesn’t tickle your fancy, Nutri-Grain (without the milk, of course) makes a great alternative to crisps.
Number 7
Kellogg’s Fruit Loops

I used to love eating these for breakfast with cold milk when I was a kid. These days they are little too sweet for me to eat first thing in the morning. Instead, I prefer to eat them alone in front of the telly as a sweet alternative to crisps.
Number 6
Kellogg’s Sultana Bran

Sultana Bran advertises that it is high in fibre, but all I care about is that it is delicious served with cold milk.
Number 5
Kellogg’s Special K

This is advertised as being a healthy breakfast alternative. I wouldn’t know anything about that. I just know that it’s delicious served with cold milk.
Number 4
Kellogg’s Rice Bubbles

They taste delicious served with cold milk and sugar and they go snap, crackle, pop. What more could you ask for?
Number 3
Kellogg’s Cornflakes

These are delicious served with cold milk and sugar.
Number 2
Kellogg’s Coco Pops

*Sings* Just like a chocolate milkshake, only crunchy! When you just want a chocolate-y treat, these are perfect served with cold milk. Perfectly delicious!
Number 1
Dick Smith’s Australian Bush Foods

This is my go-to cereal when I want something a bit healthier than Coco Pops. It’s a bit pricier than the other cereals on this list, but it’s worth it with every mouth-watering spoonful. This is best served with cold milk and nothing else.
