A WIP that you constantly check for updates
Normally when I catch up with a work-in-progress (WIP), I just wait to read the updates until I feel like reading the story again, or until the story is complete. However, there are three stories for which I am anxiously awaiting the next update. I recognise that the authors have a life outside of fan-fiction. Still, I cannot help but check every other week in the hope of reading a new chapter.
The stories in question are Core Threads by theaceoffire, a super!Harry story that is, nonetheless, entertaining to read; Harry Potter and the Breeding Darkness by Danyealle-sama, sequel to Athey‘s Descent Into Darkness; and Again and Again by Athey, which follows a bitter, jaded Harry doomed to relive his life again and again.
Every one of these stories is well worth reading. Unfortunately they are updated infrequently. Thankfully, to my knowledge, none of them are abandoned. I believe I would tear my hair out if that were to happen.
Today is my final post in the 30 Day Fanfic Challenge. I hope you have learned a bit about me or, at the very least, picked up a few new stories to read. I count my participation in this challenge as a limited success. On the one hand, I did manage to post for each topic; on the other hand, I was unable to do so over thirty consecutive days.
I had a lot of fun doing this challenge, though, and that’s the main thing. I encourage others to have a go at doing this challenge and post a link in my comments so I can read your posts.
If you want to participate in the 30 Day Fanfic Challenge, you can find the daily themes here.
